Dear Kanab Middle School Parents,
We have finally made it to our closing week of the 2019-20 school year! Congratulations to everyone for working so hard until the end!
As promised, here is the 8th grade Promotion/Tribute video to our 8th grade students. We hope you enjoy! The video is found on: https://youtu.be/xeqZ4cSMMGs
Here is a reminder about our end of year checkout:
May 21-22 will be the end-of-year checkout. As we are limited on the amount of people we can have in the building (20), we have created a signup for this purpose at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E48AEA82DA6FC1-7th8th This link can also be found on the front page of our school website. There are four signups per 15 minute time slot since all KMS students will need to checkout. At checkout, students will receive their yearbooks (if they have paid for them), clean out their lockers, turn in their Chromebooks, finalize any school/lunch fees, receive their awards, and 8th grade students will be able to take a promotion/remembrance photo at our professional backdrop. Please review the available slots and click on the button to sign up.
Current 7th Grade students will need to rank their interests for possible elective classes for next year at the following site: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc8kY2mLGx_yXiYwrAtvjuizu9RARLnvYNDvxB56bPsvudiHw/viewform?usp=sf_link This link can also be found on the front page of our school’s website. This does not guarantee placement within the course or if the course will be offered. This is to gather interests for our future 8th grade students.
An 8th Grade Promotion backdrop display will be set up outside at the front of our school during the checkout times for end-of-year pictures. Make sure 8th Grade students dress nice for their pictures. An 8th grade promotion certificate will also be presented.
We again thank all of you for all your efforts throughout the school year, especially towards the end of this year. School will continue until Chromebooks are turned in. Please reach out to teachers if needing some assistance with assignments or for any questions about classwork this last week. Make sure to check SIS/Aspire to ensure success.
Thanks for a great school year,
Mr. Braxton Bateman
